Midsummer Moonshine

Medium: Color photography

Comments from the artist responsible for this travesty: The designs in this series all reflect the landscape of aestival Appalachia (and thus my obsession with alliteration continues…). Additionally, it should be noted that ‘moonshine’ refers to moonlight and the traditional symbolism of the moon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and not to the, um, heritage of the Appalachians as some of you might have hoped. (Seek your cheap liquor elsewhere, knaves!) This series does contain a variety of wildflowers, however, which embody the ephemeral, free spirit of summer itself as well as effectively change the subject.

These designs are also available on Redbubble and Zazzle.
